Will Jones has had a deep love and passion for the game of tennis since a racquet was placed in his hands at 3 years old. After a successful junior tennis career reaching a top 7 state ranking in NC, Will played Division 1 singles and doubles at Howard University where he majored in Finance. After graduating, Will served as an assistant coach for the Howard team, coaching dozens of students and helping them navigate college tennis, employment, and life beyond tennis.

 

Will started coaching at 12 years old, gaining experience with teaching group classes, private lessons, and managing facilities. He’s worked with hundreds of players, helping them accomplish their goals in junior, high school, league, and tournament-level tennis. Will offers a particularly engaging perspective on the physics and biomechanics of tennis so both children and adults can understand the game at a deeper, foundational level. Here in the DMV, Will teaches players of all ages and skill levels, helping them build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a lifelong love for the game.  

 

Born and raised in NYC, he revisits his hometown to give back to the local tennis community, helping young players get to college. 

 

Outside of tennis, Will is a management consultant. He spent the majority of his career at a big 4 consulting firm and enjoys working at the nexus of strategy, customer and employee experience, marketing, data, and finance. He plays basketball and the piano when he’s not on the court.
